"I'm not ready for this"
I found Sarah standing (yes, standing) at the bottom of the stairs a couple of days ago. I finally got some pictures of it. She was actually cruising across the bottom step today. I'm not sure how long it will be now.
It's a blizzard....part 2
Well it finally stopped snowing long enough for us to go out and have some fun in it. I still can't believe how much is out there.
It's a blizzard out there!!!
For those of you who don't live around here I thought I'd share what we were going through. For the past 4 days we've had TONS of snow. I think we figured on Sunday we had about a foot and a half of new snow and then last night it started again. We are supposed to be getting another 4 to 6 inches today. And if that's not enough....they say it will let up tomorrow just to start again on Thursday and I'm pretty sure I heard that it was going to continue on through the weekend. As of Sunday we had more snow fall then an average season and it's still January!!! It's crazy out there!!
To top it all off, we had some good friends visiting us over the weekend from Arizona. I think that she was a little overwhelmed with all this white stuff. Their first flight out on Sunday actually got canceled so they had to stay over another night and were lucky enough to fly out Monday morning (between the storms).
The school that Jacob goes to has canceled classes the last two days. Most of the schools around here have either canceled or had delayed starts.
Ben has a great job and a fantastic boss that allow him to stay home and work from here if he needs to. It's a good thing 'cause I'm not sure his little '86 Nissan pick-up truck would make it through all this snow. We got our 4x4 suburban stuck (turning into our driveway) on Sunday afternoon. I am out of milk so I'm going to have to brave it sometime this afternoon. Fortunately there is a truck stop just down the street that sells milk.
I couldn't really get great pictures but I think it kind-of gives you an idea of what it's like....

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Zac's Hair
This kid has the greatest hair!! It's kind-of wavy. Awhile ago Ben and I said that we would just let it grow for awhile and see what it does. Well I think it's about time to cut it. Believe me, I won't cut it much (it's too great to be short) but as you can tell from the pictures it's getting quite long. Quite different from his brothers and his dad. At this point I'm just praying that Sarah will have his type of hair 'cause hers can be long.

Mad Psychiatrist...
Ok so this is my laugh of the day....
I was taking some pictures and video of Sarah after her nap. She was so happy so I thought I might catch something fun. While I was recording her I overheard the boys talking....just listen to this and enjoy a laugh, on Jacob and Luke....
Through the eyes of JLZ (Jake, Luke, Zac)
Clapping Sarah
I love it when babies start clapping. It's one of my favorite things. She started this on Tuesday morning.
Luke Turns 4!!!!
Now that I'm caught up on Christmas pictures I can finally post other stuff :)
Luke's birthday was on the 26th (yes the day after Christmas). It's hard to believe that he's already 4 and then it's also hard to believe that he's only 4. I know that sounds weird but he seems so much older to us. He does everything that his, almost 6 year old, brother does. He's such a big boy!!! We've tried really hard to make it a special day, a separate day. In some ways it's better then having a birthday at a different time of year because there's always family around. Karissa and Amy (his cousins) have been at all of his birthday parties and nobody else gets that. I'm sure that someday he'll want to have a party with his friends but for now this works out great.
This year we went bumper bowling, then to pizza and then to Papa and Mamaw's for ice cream cake and PRESENTS!!! Like he needed more after Christmas.....but this was his day and he knew it. If you can't tell by this first picture, he loves the attention....
I was sure that it was Luke's birthday but I guess Spiderman decided to show up instead :)

Sledding in Omak
So, on one of the days that we were in Omak over Christmas we went sledding. It was so much fun. The kids just loved it and it was great to be out. My mom and dad got me new snow boots for Christmas so my feet were nice and toasty and then my mom also bought me a new coat so my body was also nice and toasty.
Jacob, Karissa, Amy, Luke and Zac going for a ride.
Zac and Uncle Pat saying "cheese" ('cause that's Zac's favorite thing to say for the camera).

Trip to Omak....
So after the festivities at home we headed to Omak. We went straight to the Abshire's and had a wonderful Prime Rib dinner and then opened more presents. The trip was good and everyone was excited to see family. Zac was so funny, he was eating his snacks on the trip and fell asleep chewing!! I just had to take a picture of it.
Sarah couldn't quit open her own yet so we had to help her. She liked the paper and ribbon though.
Here's the four cousins, having fun together. They were a kick to watch. Kids make it so much fun.
Zac got this super cool Tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa. He can't wait to ride "bikes" with his brothers this spring.
They all got costumes and I can't believe how much they wear them. Good Job Grandma and Grandpa!!

Trip to Omak (cont).....
Here are some of the pictures from the Sheets' the day after Christmas.
If you can't tell by their faces, they LOVED these spiderman costumes. It's all Jacob could ask for for months before Christmas. I think that they've had them on more then their cloths this last month. They were a gift from Aunt Di and Uncle Greg. Thank You!!!!
Notice that they are already wearing the spiderman costumes???
Sarah fell asleep on Papa even before we started opening gifts.
