Labor Day Weekend

I have a few things to "catch up" on. I just realized that I haven't shared pictures of the fair or our Labor Day trip. So this is where I will start....Labor Day.
We decided that it had been way too long since we had seen Ben's family in Prosser and Yakima. So on Friday after Ben got of work we headed south to Nana's in Prosser. We stayed there for two nights then on Sunday morning we headed to Grandma Olson's house in Yakima.
I didn't take as many pictures as I should have but I took some.

Nana has some great climbing trees!!
All of the cousins came down to hang out with us too.....it was fun to get all of the kids together.
Here's all four kids with Nana!!! I sure wish Papa was here to see those three Abshire boys!!

Now here's some from Grandma Olson's house. The boys are here playing with all the same toys that Ben and Aunt Becky played with when they were kids. They thought that was pretty cool. We also got to go swimming a couple of times while we were there. I forgot to take my camera to the pool with us so you will just have to try to picture it. It was fun!!

I will try to get the fair pictures up soon too. The boys went Mutton Bustin' for the first time. If you don't know what that is you will just have to check back to see the pictures. They should not be missed!!

First Silverwood trip

A couple of weeks ago we went to Silverwood with some good friends and their family. It was a blast! Our kids had never been before and Jacob and Luke are still talking about it. We had 9 kids ranging from 14 months to 10 years old and 4 adults. You could say that it was a little crazy but it was nice to split up some and take the little kids on some rides that they could enjoy.

We were so proud and a little surprised by our oldest boys. Jacob was tall enough to go on all the rides and he did all but one. The one that he chose not to go on was HUGE!! Aftershock was the one that he didn't want to try and I don't blame him. I was a little scared myself. It was really fun though. The first roller coaster that he went on was the Corkscrew. It was my first roller coaster too (when I was a kid). It used to be at Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California. He thought that was pretty cool. Luke couldn't go on all of the rides but he could go on most of them. It was so funny, one of the rides has a camera that takes a picture as you are going through one of the tunnels and you would have thought Luke was crying. He looks scared to death in the picture but he loved it. Zac couldn't go on any of the roller coasters and it made him cry. I think he would have gone on all of them if he could have. He's one brave little sucker.

I took a few pictures. We were pretty busy trying to get as many rides in as we could but I got some.

Here's their first ride. They thought it was great...until the "big" rides.

Here's Zac and Chance thinking that they are pretty cool riding by themselves.
Zac decided to take a nap. I'm not real sure how he did but he did.

Here's Marly, Jacob and Chance waiting for their turn. They were all so patient between rides. Luke being goofy!!

There is also a water park at Silverwood. We didn't spend a lot of time there because the weather wasn't all that great. It was just a little chilly. Here are some of the boys playing in the wave pool.

We can't wait to go back again. If any of you want to come and go there we would love to go with you. Like I said, the older boys want to go back as soon as they can.

Sorry, I checked out again!!

So I know I've been gone again for a really long time. All I can say is...summer, new house, crazy kids.....life :) I really don't have any great excuses, I've just haven't been on my computer as much lately. I'm sorry!!

I will tell you what I did last week though. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Ben and I got to go on a great 6 day vacation....WITHOUT kids. We went to this great winery just outside of Quincy Washington. If you have time you should check out the website. We were so lazy. Some people would have done some hiking, golfing or rock climbing (all of which was around there) but we didn't. We slept in, laid by the pool, took naps. It was just what we needed and we came home refreshed. It was so awesome!!

Both of our parents were great and split the time with the kids. Little did we know that when we dropped them all off, Sarah was getting the flu, which she then passed the my in-laws, her brothers and then my folks. I felt horrible but I really didn't know she was sick. All the kids were over it by the time we got back so we haven't got it yet...hopefully we won't now.

At the end of our trip we went back to Omak to pick up the kids. RockWall Cellars (my families winery) was having a theater event. My cousin and a friend of hers did a three act show. It was so good and it was a perfect way to end our vacation.

I'm sorry again that it's been so long. I have lots of things to update you on....Sarah's first birthday, Jacob's last day of school, my surprise 30th birthday party, and much more. I will start working on getting out all updated this week.
I will end this post with a few pictures of the view that we had out of our room....
